I took these photographs of birds in and around Chennai, during a recent visit to India.

I have also photographed birds in the U.S., Antarctica, Falkland Islands and elsewhere. My photos can be seen on Instagram, where my handle is seaswarnyc. I grew up in Chennai and migrated to the U.S.; I live in New York,

In January, Suresh Easwar got local media coverage for his photographs of a Bald Eagle in New York’s Central Park. The eagle (in photo above), which is native to North America, is a rare sight in the park. A symbol of the United States, its image appears on currency, flags and other items of the military and government.
